Who is iSoccer
The iSoccer team is composed of former professional soccer players, coaches of all levels, technology executives, Stanford engineers and experienced investors. We are all on a mission ‘To Raise the Level of the Game, One Player at a Time.”
The vision behind iSoccer came after founder Scott Leber spent years training thousands of individual players and teams. He realized that a key missing ingredient in technical development for young soccer players was the motivation to take ownership and responsibility for their own development. The birth of iSoccer soon followed – as a way to inspire and motivate players from around the globe. With a background in industrial engineering from Stanford University and professional soccer experience, Scott created an effective, scalable and fun training program that motivates coaches and players of all ages and all levels.
Since 2008, when Scott created the iSoccer assessment, he has been traveling the world assessing players, speaking with soccer leaders, getting feedback and spreading the vision. Scott set out to empower players and coaches to take part in an innovative process while making technical training fun, measurable, and competitive. In a short time since launching in 2010, iSoccer has collected over 750,000 assessment scores from over 25 countries around the world and all 50 US states. The current technical standard has been established, and continually improves as it grows throughout the World.
Along the way, Scott has assembled a team with unique and varied experience including more than 30 years combined professional playing experience, 80 years combined coaching experience, four “A” USSF Coaching licences and various individuals behind organizations like Yahoo!, PayPal, LinkedIn, YouTube, Oracle and other prominent technology companies in the Silicon Valley. This team is united and committed to raising the level of the game, one player at a time while redefining how players are motivated and developed in sport!
However, when you ask Scott “Who is iSoccer?” he will tell you, “iSoccer is the thousands upon thousands of players and teams around the world who are living the mission and raising their own level by maximizing their own potential. It is inspiring to see this movement happening!” iSoccer is a grass roots movement for player development; by creating a standardized assessment, people around the country and world can connect to share their various training techniques and compare their results. The iSoccer movement is growing and people send new stories about creative ways they are using iSoccer everyday. How are you using iSoccer?
